International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has today announced the election of 14 new partners. The appointments take effect from 1 May 2009.

Charles-Antoine Leunen
Charles-Antoine Leunen is based in Freshfields’ Brussels office and is a member of the firm’s finance practice. He specialises in banking and finance work, with a particular expertise in investment grade lending, leveraged finance and restructuring transactions. He has also developed a strong practice in project and infrastructure finance and in real estate transactions. He advises international and Belgian corporates and banks on a wide range of transactions.
Charles-Antoine joined the firm in 1999 and worked for over 10 years with our firm. He spent four years as a member of the finance department in our London office and in recent years he has been heading our Brussels finance practice within the corporate group. He speaks Dutch, English, French, German and Spanish.
