De Clercq & Partners, a leading Benelux European and Belgian patent, trademark and design firm, welcomes the arrival of ir. Caroline Hennin, PhD as a new member of its patent department.
Caroline holds a Master’s degree in Bio-Engineering Sciences and also obtained a PhD in Applied Biological Sciences, both at the University of Ghent. After finishing her PhD, she started as a Patent Adviser at De Clercq & Partners and qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2008. In 2011 Caroline became head of the IP Department of CropDesign. At CropDesign and BASF Plant Science, Caroline particularly specialized in all IP aspects of a global R&D project aiming to develop and commercialize transgenic rice showing yield increase.
She has now re-joined the firm, as of July 2016.
