Joining our Legal & Compliance department, you will support the business as a trusted legal advisor by providing clear, practical and timely legal advice across multiple jurisdictions. You will also contribute to strengthening our legal governance frameworks, helping ensure that the bank’s activities are conducted in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

About the job | Your responsibilities

Provide legal advice – Deliver clear, practical guidance on legal and regulatory matters across the bank.

Follow legal developments – Monitor changes in consumer law and other regulatory frameworks to keep the bank compliant.

Collaborate across teams – Work closely with business and support teams to address legal and regulatory questions.

Conduct legal research – Analyse legislation and case law, including in foreign jurisdictions, to support cross‑border activities.

Handle legal documents – Draft, review and support negotiations of contracts, agreements and other legal documentation.

Support regulatory implementation – Contribute to implementing new or updated legal and regulatory requirements.

Update internal documentation – Revise product documents, policies and procedures following legal or regulatory changes.

Liaise with external counsel – Coordinate with outside law firms and advisors on specialised legal matters.

Strengthen governance frameworks – Support corporate governance processes and contribute to legal reporting.

Manage legal cases – Assist with handling legal inquiries and court cases across multiple jurisdictions.

About you | Your background, skills and personality

  • Master’s degree in law
  • Italian-qualified lawyer or solid academic or practical background in Italian law
  • Good understanding of European regulatory frameworks, with the ability (or strong willingness) to adapt to different jurisdictions
  • Previous experience (internships or 2-3 years) in a legal role within banking, financial services, or a corporate legal department is an asset
  • Fluency in English and Italian is essential; proficiency in Spanish, German or other languages is a plus
  • Confident user of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Communication: Able to explain legal matters clearly, pragmatically and concisely, both in writing and verbally
  • Analytical mindset: Strong critical‑thinking skills with the ability to identify issues, assess risks, and propose practical solutions
  • Organisation & independence: Proactive, reliable, well organised, and capable of managing tasks autonomously while seeking guidance when needed
  • Collaboration and teamwork: Works effectively with colleagues across teams in a solution‑oriented way.
