The Legal Advisor will join the very dynamic Office of Legal Affairs Team and will report to the Head of Legal.

Your role...

Provide legal advice and support for all types of legal documents and contracts, in particular for healthcare-related contracts.

Ensure the development of legal documentation, preparation, and validation of all kinds of agreements and legal documents, in accordance with the laws and regulations and in line with UL requirements.

Contribute to decision making, add value to the organization and facilitate the achievement of objectives as well as safeguard the legal position and reputation of the University of Luxembourg, ensure legal compliance.

Your tasks

Liaising with and assisting the Department of Life Sciences and Medicine (DLSM) in close collaboration with the Vice-Rector for Research, in relation with its legal needs. In particular:

  • Drafting, negotiating, reviewing a broad range of legal documents both nationally and internationally such as collaborative research contracts, collaboration agreement, NDAs, service agreements, terms of use
  • Advising on different fields of expertise of law such as intellectual property, public research, state aids, medical profession, clinical studies
  • Liaising with hospitals, ministries and healthcare providers
  • Evaluating potential risks, proposing solutions
  • Coordinating health and life sciences activities on legal needs and research and education projects
  • Contributing to the development of the University and its entities

What we expect from you…

  • Master’s degree in law. Knowledge and/or expertise in public tender law would be a high advantage;
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar position, with experience in contract drafting and negotiation
  • Excellent problem‐solving, analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French; German and Luxembourgish would be an advantage
  • Open minded, with ability to integrate in a very international environment
