What your future may hold

As an Associate Employment & Benefits, your role will be characterised by growth and opportunities. You will tackle complex legal work and contribute to Strelia’s aspiration to become a leading authority in employment law. 

You will support clients with a broad range of labour law issues, including various individual (e.g. hiring and firing) and collective labour law matters, restructurings, reorganisations and employment law litigation. Your tasks will also include negotiating and drafting agreements, compensations and benefits schemes, and working on transactions.

Regularly contributing to drafting articles, participating in seminars, and building a network will enhance your professional profile and open avenues for progression within the firm.

Your skillset

  • With approximately 2 to 4 years of experience as an employment & benefits lawyer within a business law firm or niche law firm, you have gained keen insights into the sector.
  • You hold a Belgian Master’s in Law with outstanding university grades. An LL.M. in Social Law would be beneficial.
  • Mastery of the Dutch language is essential, paired with an excellent proficiency in French and English, to effectively manage Strelia’s diverse clientele.
  • As a team player, you possess the necessary drive and talent to thrive in a professional environment where the group atmosphere is key.

Strelia was founded on January 1, 2013 by a group of experienced partners from international firms and is an independent law firm. It has seen impressive growth, doubling in size in the past two years. With offices in Brussels and Luxembourg, the firm specialises in corporate law, including M&A, private equity, corporate banking & finance, capital markets, commercial agreements, restructuring & insolvency, tax law, employment & benefits, dispute resolution, competition law & sector regulation, and real estate & administrative law. Today, Strelia boasts around 45 lawyers and nearly 20 staff members.
