To deliver on its growth, our client Ardena is looking for a Solo Corporate Legal Counsel to join its team!

Location is Ghent - partly remote.

What would you do?

You are the first point of contact for all legal questions within the entire group.
You set up clear legal workflows in the organization.
You shape a varied new position in which you are primarily responsible for drafting and negotiating commercial contracts such as 'Master Service Agreements', 'Supply contracts', 'Confidentiality Agreements' or 'Work Orders'.
You detect potential contract risks and propose viable remedies.
Through informal and formal training moments, you ensure that the relevant departments remain up to date with the main contractual rights and obligations.
You monitor evolutions in relevant legislation and implement necessary changes in our templates and workflows.
You will maintain and incorporate changes in legal organizational structures.
You may be involved in strategic projects (new service offerings, acquisitions, shareholder changes).
If necessary, you coordinate specialized cases with external legal advisors.

What does our ideal candidate look like?

Masters in Belgian Law.
At least 3 years of work experience at the bar or in-house and specifically in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
You have a thorough knowledge of Belgian business law; notions of the differences with international jurisdictions is a plus.
You have the ambition to make your own mark on the legal department.
You are eager to learn, autonomous and results-oriented.
You have strong communication skills and can explain complex matters in a simple way.
You are business-minded and hands-on.
You are comfortable in a dynamic and changing environment.
Affinity with or experience in the pharmaceutical sector is included.
You speak and write English fluently.
