Davina Devleeschouwer reinforces Loyens & Loeff's Banking & Finance practice as new Counsel

We are pleased to announce that Davina Devleeschouwer has joined our Banking & Finance practice group as a new Counsel on 1 March 2024. She will work closely with Marc Vermylen and Vanessa Marquette to further develop our Firm’s Capital Markets, Financial Regulatory and ESG footprint in Belgium.

Davina brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our Firm, and we are confident that she will be an invaluable asset. Her advisory role has been pivotal for numerous companies, both listed and non-listed. She has a proven track record in transactional work, having been involved in several large-scale and complex operations both in Belgium and globally. Davina’s seasoned experience in the field of Capital Markets will also allow her to team up with Counsel Mathias Hendrickx from the Corporate practice group, to further strengthen the Firm’s Capital Markets Team capabilities in Belgium.

Prior to joining Loyens & Loeff, Davina was a Senior Associate at a leading international law firm and an assistant lecturer in company and financial law at Université libre de Bruxelles for more than ten years. She also has inhouse experience at a BEL20 listed company, which gives her a meaningful insight on practical issues.

Marc Vermylen, Head of the Banking & Finance practice group and Managing Partner, expressed his enthusiasm about Davina’s arrival: “We are thrilled to have Davina join our team. Her extensive experience and knowledge will undoubtedly strengthen our capabilities, particularly in Capital Markets, and benefit our clients.

Her arrival aligns perfectly with Loyens & Loeff's strategic focus, enabling us to expand our expertise in ESG, Financial Services Regulatory, and Capital Markets.
