Function

As the Compliance & Investigation Manager, you will be the guardian of integrity across Belgium and the wider Europe Zone. This role blends meticulous legal compliance with bold, strategic leadership. 

You will lead internal investigations under Belgian law, especially the Private Investigations Act, while championing Europe-wide antitrust and compliance programs. Your dedication to doing things right and your ability to drive results and influence senior stakeholders will be essential in keeping the business protected and principled. It’s a high-impact, high-visibility position, rooted in ethics and offering significant professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage internal investigations across Zone Europe. Plan investigations, conduct interviews, review documents, report findings, recommend actions, track remediation, and embed lessons learned. Ensure full compliance with the Belgian Private Investigations Act and European whistleblower laws.
  • Implement and continually improve the Europe Zone antitrust compliance program. Oversee project tracking, monitor legal risks, and coordinate audits, training, and communications.
  • Design and roll out engaging ethics & compliance campaigns to foster a strong culture of integrity. Including materials, communications strategy, and effectiveness metrics.
  • Develop and harmonize compliance processes. Standardize workflows, maintain dashboards, conduct audits, manage gifts/donations and conflict-of-interest reviews, and deliver compliance training across functions.
  • Keep policies and documentation current and provide training on compliance procedures, ensuring seamless practical implementation across teams.
  • Mentor and guide junior compliance colleagues, supporting country Legal and People teams with conflict-of-interest assessments and documentation oversight.
  • Oversee the investigations budget, including external vendor and service coordination.
  • Foster knowledge sharing and collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Security, and People teams at both zone and country levels. Your stakeholders will be the Europe Legal & Compliance Team, the Global Compliance Team, the Belgium Legal & People (HR) Team, the Zone Europe & Belgium Security and HR Teams as well as external partners and suppliers.

Profile

  • Belgian Bachelor’s or Master’s in Law, Compliance, Criminology, HR, or related field.
  • Around 5 years of experience in compliance, legal, internal audit or internal investigations. Ideally within a multinational context, handling confidential matters and complex investigations.
  • Deep understanding of the Belgian Private Investigations Act, employment law, and data privacy.
  • Familiar with EU whistleblower protection, antitrust frameworks, and compliance risk management.
  • Excellent stakeholder-management skills in multi-cultural, matrixed environments.
  • Strong analytical thinking, sharp judgment, and thoughtful decision-making. Especially regarding disciplinary actions and remediation strategies.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, with a good level in French. Demonstrated excellence in both written and oral communication.
