Legal Counsel (Part-time/hybrid)

Alpega Group is now looking for a Legal Counsel (Part-time). This role will be part of the Finance & Legal. As part of this team, you assure us that we are delivering financial and business accountability to all our stakeholders and insight to optimize decisions and Alpega’s success – through being in the team of Accounting, Controlling, Treasury or Legal. This role will be based in Diegem, Belgium.  

We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to take over the responsibility for legal matters with the main focus in Benelux and France.  

•  Working as part-time position for 19-20 hours/week 
•  provide legal advice, transaction support, and contract drafting and negotiations for all types of commercial transactions including support of sales and procurement organizations 
•  assist with general corporate, corporate governance and intercompany matters related to Alpega subsidiaries
•  Assist with special projects and compliance initiatives as needed

•  You have 5+ years experience as Legal Counsel (Belgian Law)
•  You have a solid understanding & knowledge of Contract law/Business law/Corporate law and Data privacy & protection
• You have strong background in legal issues related to IT/SAAS and related professional services will be major advantage
•  You have previous experience as an in-house counsel in an international environment or in a law firm. You are trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
•  You have a robust organizational ability with great attention to detail
• You have customer-service oriented, results-oriented and able to problem-solve
• You have excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills
• You have ability to work pro-actively and self-driven without day-to-day inhouse management supervision
• You have technologically savvy and adepts well to change 
•  You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• You are a French language native speaker, English as a business level.  German is a plus.
