Description

As a company lawyer, you will play a key role in guiding multiple business units by providing expert le gal analysis of the business environment. Your insights will help shape strategic decisions, ensuring they are both compliant and aligned with legal standards. Your Responsibilities:

  • You will work in a high technological and rapidly changing and expanding company environment and provide support from a legal point of view to the Tech department and the Wholesale department of Orange Belgium and its affiliates. You will proactive advice and help the Tech and Wholesale business unit in implementing their decisions in a legally correct way
  • Handle court litigations in close cooperation with external lawyers.
  • Develop official and contractual legal documents and negotiate contracts with internal and external customers, suppliers, partners within the Tech and Wholesale scope.
  • Proactively improve/optimize existing documents and procedures to reduce legal exposure.
  • Participate actively to transversal company and group projects and helps in implementing them taking into account company related objectives.
  • Monitor changes in the laws and regulations to ensure Orange Belgium complies with the law

Profile

  • Master University degree in law.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a law firm, notary or legal department of an international company, preferably within the relevant scope of administrative and contract law.
  • Knowledge of contract law is a must such as, especially experience in reviewing contracts as:
    • Purchase agreements
    • Wholesale agreements
    • Co-location agreements
    • Carrier agreements
    • Roaming agreements
    • Interconnect agreements
    • MVNO agreements
  • Knowledge of administrative law is a plus (lease agreements, building permits and proceedings before the Council of State for both fiber and mobile antennas,antenna sales, disputes with subcontractors, complex cable breaks, RIZ site sharing- Telecom Act).
  • Customer-oriented approach.
  • Good analytical and drafting skills.
  • Ability to work independently under high workload and tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in Dutch, French, and English (both oral and written).
