Your Mission

We’re looking for a Junior / Associate Legal Counsel to strengthen our in-house legal function and support the companies within COMO Group.

You will work closely with senior management and multiple teams (Commercial, Operations, IT, Compliance, HR) to ensure that our activities, documents and processes are legally sound, compliant and aligned with our strategic objectives.

Depending on your experience, the position can be tailored at Junior or Associate level, with corresponding autonomy and responsibilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide legal advice on commercial, operational and regulatory matters, with strong working knowledge of GDPR, PSD2/PSR, corporate law, DORA and related frameworks.
  • Draft, review and negotiate key commercial, supplier, partner and HR-related contracts and maintain core templates/clauses.
  • Support company-wide legal and policy compliance, corporate governance processes and internal reporting/escalation mechanisms.
  • Help manage disputes and litigation by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel and tracking case progress.
  • Partner with Commercial, IT, Compliance, HR and other teams to ensure policies, processes and communications meet legal and ethical standards.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments (especially in payments, data protection, corporate and ICT risk frameworks) and contribute to internal know-how, guidance and best practices.

What You Bring

Education: Master’s degree in Law from a recognised university. Specialization in corporate, commercial, or financial services law is an asset.

Experience: 

  • Junior level: 0–3 years of relevant experience (including internships) in a law firm, financial institution, fintech or corporate legal department.
  • Associate level: Around 3–6 years of post-qualification experience in similar environments (law firm, bank, payment institution, fintech, corporate group). 

Languages (mandatory): Excellent spoken and written English.

Languages (bonus): French and/or German.

Skills: 

  • Strong legal drafting and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to explain complex legal issues in clear, concise and practical terms.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to take ownership and drive tasks to completion.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Tools: Comfortable working with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Experience with document management tools is an advantage.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a start-up environment.
  • Experience working in Luxembourg-based entities before.
