Established in 1998, our Luxembourg operations provide a wide range of investment services to a global client base.  With specific expertise in fund servicing, our multi-lingual teams work with colleagues worldwide, delivering services around the clock to meet the unique needs of our clients - irrespective of the domicile of their investment manager, their investments or their distributors and investors.

We provide a comprehensive range of services, including global custody and depositary banking, accounting, transfer agency and a wide array of value added services, and cover all asset classes in UCITS and alternatives.  Our experts are actively engaged with both the Association of Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) and the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association (ABBL), and involved in discussions that are shaping the future of the industry.


We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Legal Counsel to join our Luxembourg Legal team. This role is located in Luxembourg.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Draft, review and negotiate client-service contracts
  • Provide pragmatic legal and regulatory advice and support to ensure compliance and minimize risk
  • Collaborate closely with EMEA Legal colleagues to deliver pragmatic, coordinated and business-focused counsel
  • Advise on the design and launch of services and products in line with applicable laws and regulations
  • Monitor fund- and banking-related regulatory developments and support implementation projects
  • Participate in industry bodies and peer-networking forums to stay ahead of market trends
  • Instruct, manage and coordinate external counsel, including synthesis of their advice
  • Develop and deliver formal training sessions for business teams on key legal and documentary standards
  • Foster knowledge-sharing and innovation within the legal department

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

Knowledge and experience:

  • Master’s degree in law (or equivalent) with at least 3 years’ experience in a law firm or financial-institution legal team
  • Proven track record drafting and reviewing financial-services documentation, especially in the investment-funds space (depositaries, administrators, managers)
  • Fluent English and French; proficiency in German or another European language is a plus
  • Proactive, well-organized, stress-resistant, autonomous and solution-oriented team player
  • Excellent communication skills: clear verbal drafting, strong written output and confident presentations
  • Outstanding analytical, project-planning and attention-to-detail capabilities
  • Technologically adept: MS Outlook (folders, categories, shared mailboxes), Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint; experience with GPTs/AI tools and other legal-tech solutions

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills—clear verbal drafting, strong written output and confident presentations
  • Outstanding organization, project-planning, analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Resilient under pressure, able to manage stress and prioritize competing deadlines effectively
  • Proficient in MS Outlook (categories, folders), PowerPoint, Sharepoint and Word; experience with GPTs (such as Copilot) and prompting; Outlook shared mailboxes, and other IT tools will be an asset.
