The tax team

Our Tax team currently consists of 5 lawyers and 1 Personal Assistant, and we are looking to expand the team with 1 or 2 Associates with 3 to 6 years of experience.

Your role

As an associate in our Tax practice, you will be involved in:

advising Belgian and international clients in relation to their business related tax queries;
advising Belgian and international clients on all tax aspects relating to domestic and cross-border transactions (such as mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, capital markets, finance, private equity, funds, real estate, and incentive plans);
assisting clients in ongoing tax investigations (tax audits, dawn raids) and in tax settlements; and
representing clients in administrative controversies and tax litigation before Belgian and European courts.

What we expect

We are looking for a bright associate who:

is fluent in Dutch, French and English;
has excellent results at a Belgian university and an additional education in tax law (whereby a study or experience in an Anglo-Saxon jurisdiction is considered a plus);
has 3 to 6 years of experience in tax law;
has strong analytical skills, editorial fluency and embraces impeccable spelling;
is eager to learn;
has a client-oriented, practical and commercial mind-set;
has excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines; and
is enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated.
