With over 100 public procurement specialists in 36 cities worldwide, CMS has an outstanding reach and capacity for public procurement and public contracts. Our specialists have longstanding sector-expertise across core industries including infrastructure, lifesciences/healthcare, transport and TMC. The Belgian team is concerned in some of the most challenging cases of high public interest. 

The team works on complex public tender issues, including formation and building of bidding consortia, protection of confidential information, anti-trust matters, evaluations, specific rules around framework agreements, concession contracts and complex PPP projects. The team also provides support before tribunals and courts across Europe or in front of the European Commission. 

We are looking for a (junior) associate (0-5 years) to strengthen our Belgian public procurement team. 

Profile : 

  • You have an excellent command of Dutch and English (French is a plus, but not a must); 
  • You obtained a Master in law with excellent academic results; 
  • Relevant experience (preferably as part of an international environment) in handling public procurement, real estate and/or urban planning matters is a plus; 
  • You are an ambitious lawyer with a strong passion for public law; 
  • You are a team player with outstanding legal capabilities, entrepreneurial spirit and good communication skills; 
  • You are imaginative and business-savvy.
