Nyxoah is looking for a smart and hands on legal counsel to support the daily business of the group.

Description of the vacancy

Your main responsibilities will, among others, include:

  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts;
  • Provide guidance to the business on day to day topics;
  • Identify risks and issues, proposing alternatives that lead to the best solution;
  • Support the compliance function by implementing relevant policies and procedures;
  • Support all clinical trials from a legal perspective.

You will be part of the Legal Team and report to the General Counsel.

Profile

The ideal candidate fits following requirements:

  • Master in Law;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as in-house legal counsel or lawyer, preferably in life sciences (pharma or medical devices or med tech or biotech or healthcare sector in general);
  • Excellent general legal knowledge (with focus on commercial law);
  • Expertise in healthcare compliance matters is a plus;
  • Expertise in clinical trials and/or awareness of GDPR is a plus;
  • Excellent drafting skills (strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex legal matters and business requirements into clear legal wording);
  • The ability to facilitate deals and get things done on time in an accurate and pragmatic manner;
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and in writing;
  • Eagerness to learn from and work with the business as you will consider yourself as their partner;
  • Open minded, dynamic with a pragmatic/hands-on approach;
  • Taking responsibility and being proactive.
