As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing guidance, advice and support on corporate, legal and insurance matters to the Board of Directors, executive management and business operations and functional groups.

Your responsibilities

You will report to the Vice President Finance, IT & Legal. You will focus on the one hand on contract review from our AD&S business unit (ATC, Defense & Security) and on the other hand also on corporate housekeeping.

  • You will be responsible for negotiating, drafting and reviewing national and international commercial contracts related to the company and its business activities.
  • You provide advice and guidance on corporate, legal and insurance issues affecting day- to-day business operations.
  • You do the preparation of annual shareholders' meetings.
  • You manage disputes and lawsuits as plaintiff or defendant and mediate amicable settlements.
  • You negotiate and review insurance policies and handle insurance claims.
  • As a team member, you participate in key strategic exercises, business development, restructuring, merges and acquisitions.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining and disseminating legal information and contract models, developing legal policies and processes aimed at minimising the company's risks.
  • You will organise and provide internal training on relevant legal topics to various stakeholders.

Profile

  • You obtained a Master's degree in law.
  • You can present several years of work experience as a lawyer at an international law firm or in-house counsel at an international company.
  • You have a strong command of corporate law in the broad sense (e.g. company law, commercial contracts, M&A, IP, insurance, real estate or environment).
  • You can work both independently and in team, are stress-resistant and can set priorities.
  • Fluent language skills in Dutch, English and French (both spoken and written).
