Leading intellectual property law firm Hoyng Monegier is delighted to announce the appointment of three new partners as of 1 January 2013: Carina Gommers, José Antonio Sanmartín and Álvaro Velázquez.

Carina Gommers is based at Hoyng Monegier's Brussels office. Carina is an IP litigator whose practice includes trademarks and design rights, predominantly in the sectors of consumer goods and electronics. She has extensive experience regarding customs counterfeit seizures.
José Antonio and Álvaro, both based in Madrid, have extensive expertise in IP litigation in the areas of patents, trademarks, design rights and unfair competition.
José Antonio Sanmartín is also highly experienced in border control proceedings and parallel importation matters. José Antonio's also has extensive experience in commercial conflict resolution, in particular in cases involving technology issues, breach of contract, contentious contract termination and white collar crime.
Álvaro Velázquez enjoys considerable experience in contractual drafting and regularly advises on advertising and labeling issues. Álvaro works for international clients across a range of sectors including life sciences, telecoms, engineering, food industry and fashion.
These appointments bring Hoyng Monegier's partnership to 24 since its launch in January 2011.
