Junior Associate – Banking & Finance | 1–2 Years

Our client is a leading international law firm with a strong presence in Belgium and a renowned Banking & Finance practice. The firm advises major banks, financial institutions, sponsors and corporate clients on sophisticated Belgian and cross-border financing transactions.

In this role, you will:

• Advise clients on Belgian and cross-border financing transactions.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing and negotiating finance documentation and security packages.
• Support transactions involving leveraged finance, acquisition finance and real estate finance.
• Participate in matters related to infrastructure finance, structured finance, securitisation and debt capital markets.
• Coordinate transaction processes, closings and conditions precedent with local and international teams.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic support on complex financing structures and debt restructurings.

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Holds a Belgian Master’s degree in Law with a strong academic background.
• Has between 1 to 2 years of experience in Banking & Finance within a leading international or Belgian law firm.
• Has strong analytical and drafting skills, with a genuine interest in complex financing matters.
• An LL.M. and/or additional business education would be considered an asset.
• Is fluent in English and French; knowledge of Dutch is considered an advantage.
• Demonstrates a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in an international team environment.
