Where do you fit?

As an HR Legal Advisor within our People & Purpose Centre of Expertise, you'll be part of a small, dynamic HR legal team that serves as the trusted advisor to Deloitte Belgium's business units and enabling functions. You'll work closely with our Senior Manager HR Legal, supporting the organisation in navigating complex employment law, social security, and reward-related regulatory challenges.
Your role bridges the gap between legal compliance and practical HR solutions. You'll be the go-to expert for our HR Business Partners (HRBPs), leaders, and internal stakeholders on all matters related to social law, employment regulations, and people strategy. You'll combine deep legal expertise with a pragmatic, business-focused mindset to deliver solutions that protect the organisation while enabling our people strategy.

What you'll do

Legal, Regulatory & Policy Compliance

  • Advise on the application of social law (employment, social security, reward), ensuring Deloitte Belgium remains compliant with evolving regulations
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures to reflect legal requirements and best practices
  • Follow-up on and provide practical guidance on the implementation of new regulations and their impact on our workforce
  • Support the organisation in anticipating and managing regulatory risks

Advisory & Stakeholder Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR legal matters for dedicated Business Units
  • Provide expert advice to HRBPs and the HR Services team on concrete employment cases, disputes, and complex people-related situations
  • Support leaders and employees with guidance on employment contracts, terminations, restructuring, social dialogue and other HR-related legal matters
  • Liaise between the organisation and external law firms in case of (potential) litigation

Reporting & Compliance Management

  • Prepare and manage reporting on HR legal matters for internal stakeholders and external compliance requirements (e.g. Ecovadis, CSRD and Pay Transparency reporting)
  • Maintain documentation and records related to employment law compliance
  • Contribute to the organisation's broader compliance and risk management framework

Community & Knowledge Sharing

  • Actively participate in the People & Purpose community, sharing expertise and best practices
  • Support the development of HR legal guidance and resources for the broader organisation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and legal advisory services

Let's talk about you

Your Background

  • You hold a Master's degree in Law, with a specialisation or strong focus on social law 
  • You have 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in social law or HR legal advisory, either in-house or in a legal/consulting environment
  • You have a solid understanding of Belgian social legislation
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, with working knowledge French
