What your future may hold

As the sole paralegal you will encompass various responsibilities for which strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude and total integrity are key.

  • You will provide support in relation to commercial contracts, including: initial reviews of NDA’s, the management of a group-wide contracts database, contracts life cycle management, the implementation and maintenance of template agreements and assistance with the contract review and negotiation process where needed;
  • You will support general corporate housekeeping activities for all Duomed group entities;
  • You will provide support in finance related questions such as the review of parental guarantees, managing KYC and AML requests;
  • You will maintain an overview of the group insurance portfolio and assist with the management thereof;
  • You will provide support in connection with M&A transactions, including due diligence processes, tracking of closing and post-closing actions, and supporting post-merger integration activities;
  • You will provide general administrative support to the Legal Department, including the execution of (legal) documents, ensuring smooth progress of tasks, setting priorities, communicating regularly/proactively and managing all relevant stakeholders, to ensure proper delivery and efficient time management.
  • You will report to the Legal Manager North & Central Europe of Duomed by Palex.

Your skillset

  • You have at least 5 years of relevant in-house legal experience or relevant professional experience at a business law firm;
  • You hold a university-level bachelor’s or higher degree, a Belgian master’s degree is a plus;
  • You have excellent knowledge of Dutch and English, paired with good proficiency in French.
  • You are enthusiastic and eager to take on challenges, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Your solid social and communication skills enable you to build strong work relationships and communicate clearly, effectively and in a concise manner. You are discreet and know how to treat confidential information. 
  • You have a hands-on, proactive, flexible and solution driven approach.
  • You are a team player but can also work autonomously.
