Het collectief deprevernet werd in 2012 opgericht vanuit het idee om het cliënteel één geïntegreerde dienstverlening te kunnen aanbieden in het Europees recht (mededinging, data protection, fundamentele rechten en vrijheden, geschillenbeslechting, EU institutioneel recht,...) en het publiek recht.

De unieke verscheidenheid van het cliënteel is een onderscheidende factor van het collectief. Wij werken zowel voor overheden, aanbestedende diensten, verschillende regulatoren, als voor grote en kleine ondernemingen. Het collectief werkt daarenboven nauw samen met advocatenkantoren die geen bijzondere expertise hebben in de door ons behandelde rechtstakken.

Wij zijn ervan overtuigd dat het collectief een garantie is voor kwaliteit. Deze visie zet zich door in de behandeling van de dossiers. Specialized in legal recruitment in Belgium, Screen Legal is seeking for deprevernet lawyers passionate about European litigation, eager to work on high-profile cases before the EU courts, dealing with issues related to data protection, fundamental freedoms, and institutional governance.

Description

Under the supervision of the firm’s partners and in direct contact with clients, you will be involved in the preparation of cases (direct actions) brought before the General Court or the Court of Justice. You will also contribute to strategic monitoring of developments in the CJEU’s case law.

In addition, you will handle matters related to competition law, regulation of liberalized markets, and Belgian constitutional and administrative law.

Profile sought:

Excellent academic background in European law / European litigation.
Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in European institutional litigation (as a practicing lawyer, legal clerk at the General Court or the Court, in-house counsel at an institution, etc.).
A specialization or knowledge in data protection law (GDPR) is an appreciated asset but not a requirement: your expertise in European litigation takes priority.
Languages: Excellent command of English and a good level of French, both written and spoken.
