To strengthen the Brussels Employment Labour and Pensions team we are looking for an Associate with around 1 to 10 years of experience in employment law.

The Social department is a "stand alone" department of the firm, which is highly reputed on international level (top 5), so you won't work as a supportive team of the corporate one!

Responsibilities

  • Individual employment law (dismissals and protections, harassment, work incapacity, changes in working conditions, competition, etc)
  • Collective employment law (collective labour agreements, collective redundancies, social aspects of reorganizations/transfers of undertakings, working time, etc)
  • Closure of companies, termination of employment contracts, drafting and reviewing of work regulations and policies
  • Change management issues
  • Working with foreign companies at both Belgian and pan-European level
  • Cross border operation
  • Consultation of employee's representatives
  • Collective bargaining in the event of company restructurings
  • Complex Litigation work

Must Have

  •    Master degree in Law
  •     1 to 10 years' Experience
  •     In Employment Law
  •     Dutch native
  •     English Fluent
  •     High standards of performance
  •     Excellent communication skills
  •     Sound business acumen, solution focused and deal oriented
  •     Ability to work well both in a dynamic team and individually

Nice to have

  •     LLM in Social Law
  •     French knowledge
  •     Strong academical records
