We are currently looking for a mid-level litigation & commercial law associate with between 3 and 5 years’ experience.

About your function

You will assist clients with legal and strategic advice regarding looming or existing disputes, as well as representation of our clients before the Belgian civil and administrative courts. You will work for clients in a wide variety of industries, allowing you to acquire sector-specific knowledge which has become ever more important in an increasingly sophisticated legal landscape. Your litigation files will touch upon many areas of the law, including complex commercial and corporate disputes, marketing and distribution law, contract law, regulatory law, administrative law and life sciences law. You also will be expected to assist with the coordination of pan-European litigation for our multinational clients and the handling of cross-border disputes. You will work alongside other teams of our firm on a regular basis (e.g. corporate, regulatory, etc.).

About your profile

You have an excellent academic track record;
Preferably, you have an additional Master degree from an English-speaking university;
You have up to 5 years’ experience in litigation & commercial law at a reputable law firm;
Your mother tongue is French;
You have strong analytical and writing skills;
You have an excellent command of English and at least a good passive command of the other national language;
You are eager to invest in business development activities such as seminars, drafting of newsflashes and publications;
You are entrepreneurial, a team player, eager to learn, able to work independently and professionally confident.
