Hadrien Servais joins White & Case as a partner in Brussels

Global law firm White & Case LLP has reinforced its Belgium-based transactional team with the addition of Hadrien Servais as a new partner in Brussels.

The addition of Hadrien, who will strengthen the ongoing development of our bank finance practice in Brussels, rounds out our Belgian financial practice which also includes capital markets, project finance and financial restructuring & insolvency,” said Brussels-based partner Thierry Bosly, head of the Belgian transactional practice.

Hadrien, who is qualified to practice in New York and in Belgium, joins the Firm’s Global Banking Practice. He focuses his practice on advising commercial and investment banks, as well as sponsors, on leveraged finance transactions including acquisition financings, dividend recaps and refinancing. Hadrien joins White & Case from Shearman & Sterling. He is a graduate from the universities of Namur and Louvain (J.D. 2010) and completed an LL.M in financial law at NYU (2013).

With the arrival of Hadrien, our Brussels financial practice now offers one of the most complete range of capabilities in the Belgian market,” said Thierry Bosly. “His experience in both US and UK banking laws is a strategic asset in a climate where the influx of US funds to finance capital acquisitions in the European market has never been more important. Our Brussels team now provides a unique command of American law and of its specific and sometimes complex mechanisms, which is an essential skill in the current financial environment.”

The White & Case office in Brussels includes a multinational European Union law team that provides comprehensive advice on all substantive areas of EU law, a transactional team that advises businesses and financial institutions both in and outside of Belgium on a wide range of legal matters, and a dispute resolution team that covers all areas of banking and business law.
