INTERNATIONAL LAW FIRMS RUN TOGETHER WITH THE IBJ-IJE AND THE BRUSSELS BAR TO SUPPORT UNE NOTE POUR CHACUN

On 27 May 2012, more than 380 lawyers and staff from national and international law firms in Brussels will once again join together as a single team to participate in the annual 20 km run through Brussels.

Now in its eighth year, this charitable initiative, better known as the "Legal Run", has become a unique tradition within the Brussels legal community. Each participating firm sponsors its own runners and over the past seven years the Legal Run has raised approximately EUR 110,000 for charity.

This year, the Legal Run is supporting Une Note Pour Chacun, an organization that helps hospitalized children or children with a disability to forget about their health problems through musical activities such as musical entertainment, concerts, learning to play or build an instrument, or compose a song - a playful learning programme which can serve as a therapeutic aid or simply a way of bringing a smile to the face of a child in distress. You will find more information on Une Note Pour Chacun's website http://www.unenotepourchacun.be.

Some 559 runners from the Institute for company lawyers (IBJ-IJE), the Brussels Bar and 33 law firms have confirmed their participation in this year's event. Participating firms are Allen & Overy LLP; Altius Tiberghien; Arnold & Porter LLP; Bird & Bird LLP; Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP; Clifford Chance LLP; De Wolf & Partners; DLA Piper UK LLP; Eubelius; Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP; Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP; Herberth Smith LLP; Hogan Lovells LLP; Hunton & Williams; Kapellmann und Partner Rechtsanwälte; Latham & Watkins LLP; Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick; Linklaters LLP; Loyens & Loeff; Lydian; Mayer Brown International LLP; McDermott Will & Emery; Morrison & Foerster LLP; NautaDutilh; Olswang LLP; Shearman & Sterling LLP; Sidley Austin LLP; Simont Braun; Steptoe & Johnson LLP; Stibbe; White & Case LLP; Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP; and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, LLP.
