The Belgian law firm Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick enhances its capacities in the field of intellectual property and new technologies law with the arrival of Thierry Léonard who joined the firm as a partner at the beginning of 2010.
Thierry Léonard comes to Liedekerke from Eubelius and is specialised in information & communications technology law, in particular data protection and management as well as e-commerce. He has also developed a wide experience in the drafting of contracts and the managing of contractual or extra-contractual litigations in these specific fields.
Thierry Léonard obtained a law degree from the "Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL)" in 1991 as well as the degree of Doctor of Law from the "Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix de Namur (FUNDP)" in 2004, where he simultaneously was a researcher for the "Centre de Recherches Informatique et droit (C.R.I.D.)" In addition to a civil liability thesis, he is the author of several publications in his fields of specialization.
He teaches commercial law at the "Facultés St-Louis" in Brussels.
