Deadline 1 March 2015 for the interventions regarding psychosocial risks: are you prepared?

By 1st March, your work rules have to be adapted to the new rules regarding psychosocial risks.

The work rules should mention:
(a) the contact details of the prevention expert (if external, the reference to the external service for prevention and protection is sufficient) and the person of trust, if any; and
(b) the intervention procedures.

You must not follow the usual amendment procedure for the work rules.

Practically speaking, you should proceed in the following manner:

• Discuss the intervention procedures with your Health & Safety Committee and make sure that you have its consent.
• Adjust the work rules.
• Make sure that your employees get a copy of the new provisions of the work rules and that they can always look into a new version of the work rules.
• Provide a copy of the new work rules within eight days of their implementation to your regional inspectorate for compliance with social legislation

Mark already 1st April in your agenda. The annual report of the internal service for prevention and protection at work must by then be transferred to your regional inspectorate for compliance with well-being at work. This report must contain specific information concerning psychosocial risks which relate to 2014 (number of interventions,...).
