Liedekerke welcomes Antoine Druetz and his team and launches a dedicated Non-Profit practice

Leading independent Belgian law firm Liedekerke is pleased to announce the launch of a dedicated Non-Profit practice with the arrival of Antoine Druetz as Partner, together with Alix Degrez and Fantine Miroir, effective 2 November 2026. The practice advises Belgian, European and international associations, federations and foundations across the full life cycle of a not-for-profit organisation, from choosing the appropriate legal form and designing its governance structure to cross-border restructuring.

Antoine Druetz, Partner (Liedekerke)

Antoine Druetz is recognised as one of Belgium’s leading non-profit lawyers, ranked by The Legal 500 EMEA as a Leading Partner for Not-for-profit in Belgium and recognised in the ranking since 2017. His expertise includes complex governance design, membership and voting arrangements, conflicts of interest and integrity policies, and cross-border structuring and reorganisation. He is an associate member of the Federation of European and International Associations established in Belgium (FAIB), where he has been a regular speaker since 2017, and a member of the UK Charity Law Association.

He is joined by Alix Degrez, ranked by The Legal 500 EMEA as a Leading Associate for Not-for-profit (2020 to 2026) and recognised in the ranking since 2018, and by Fantine Miroir. Together, they bring extensive experience, longstanding client relationships and a deep understanding of the sector’s legal and operational realities.

The new practice complements Liedekerke’s existing expertise and strengthens its ability to advise not-for-profit organisations across disciplines. The team will work closely with the firm’s corporate, tax, employment, competition and EU law, IP, IT and data protection, real estate, regulatory and litigation practices, bringing additional sector insight to their work. For clients, this means coordinated advice and access to the full capabilities of the firm through a single point of contact.

Antoine Druetz, Partner, comments: “Not-for-profit organisations are not companies, and they cannot be advised as if they were. Joining Liedekerke allows us to maintain our exclusive focus on this sector while drawing on the breadth of expertise of a full-service firm. I am delighted to build this practice with Alix and Fantine, and to continue serving the associations, federations and foundations we have worked with for years.”

Alexandre Emond and Etienne Kairis, Co-Managing Partners, add: “We are delighted to welcome Antoine, Alix and Fantine. Their expertise enriches our existing practices and reflects our ambition to be a reference firm in specialised fields that call for dedicated attention. As an independent firm, we continue to build our offering around the distinct needs of the sectors we serve, combining in-depth knowledge with the breadth of a full-service firm.”
