📍 Belgium

Join a well-established Belgian boutique law firm with a strong international reputation, known for combining ambition and excellence in its niche with a friendly working atmosphere. As it continues to grow, the firm is looking for a mid-level associate with solid corporate skills to strengthen its multidisciplinary life sciences practice, which advises pharma, biotech, MedTech and HealthTech clients on transactional and advisory matters. You will work where corporate law meets data protection, an area that has become central to life sciences deals. Whether your background lies in life sciences, technology or general corporate work, a genuine interest in this field is what matters.

What's in it for you?

  • Work for leading and innovative players in the life sciences industry, on matters combining corporate law and data privacy.
  • Join a dynamic, friendly and collaborative team culture.
  • Benefit from attractive opportunities for professional growth and career progression.
  • Build a long-term career within a firm that pays close attention to personal well-being.
  • Receive a highly competitive remuneration package.

Your responsibilities

  • Advise clients across the life sciences sector, including pharma, biotech, MedTech and HealthTech companies.
  • Assist on life sciences transactions, including R&D, licensing and cross-border collaboration deals.
  • Structure compliant personal data flows within research, development and licensing arrangements.
  • Advise on the practical impact of the GDPR in complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions.
  • Support clients on data protection issues arising in clinical research and cross-border projects.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team on complex matters, delivering high-quality yet pragmatic advice.

Let's talk about you

  • You hold a Belgian Master's degree in law with excellent results; an additional Master's degree and/or a DPO certification is a real plus.
  • You have 2 to 4 years of corporate experience, ideally with exposure to life sciences transactions and/or data privacy and GDPR matters, or a strong interest in building expertise in these areas.
  • You gained your experience in an internationally oriented law firm, the legal department of a multinational, a tech transfer office or a research institution.
  • You deliver high-quality work while remaining hands-on and pragmatic.
  • You are a team player, genuinely motivated by the firm's culture and niche focus.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English; French is a strong asset.
