Our Brussels office is seeking a Mid-Level Associate (2–3 years PQE) to join our EU Chemicals Regulatory Team. The role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile EU regulatory and litigation matters in a fast-evolving legal landscape.

Responsibilities

  • EU chemicals regulatory advice (including REACH, CLP, biocides, and related frameworks)
  • Regulatory strategy and compliance before EU institutions and national authorities
  • Advocacy and litigation before national courts and the EU Courts
  • Monitoring and analysing EU legislative and policy developments
  • Advising on market access, enforcement, and product compliance issues
  • Supporting clients across the EU on complex, cross-border regulatory matters

You will be involved in both advisory and contentious work, assisting clients on strategic regulatory projects with significant EU-wide impact.

Qualifications

  • Holds 2–3 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in EU regulatory law or life sciences/chemicals-related matters
  • Is admitted to an EU Bar
  • Has a strong background in EU law (LL.M. preferred)
  • Has a solid understanding of EU institutions, ideally supported by a traineeship at the European Commission or a similar organisation

Required Skills

  • Demonstrates excellent analytical and drafting skills with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach
  • Has an outstanding command of English; French, Italian, or other EU languages are a strong asset
  • Is a collaborative team player with a flexible and committed mindset
  • Is motivated to work on complex, high-profile matters across the EU
