Group Legal Counsel Benelux

Carglass is now searching for a Group Legal Counsel Benelux (Bilzen / Eindhoven / remote).

As a Group Legal Counsel Benelux, you will be partnering with and provide outstanding legal support to Carglass® Belux, Carglass® Netherlands, Autotaalglas in the Netherlands and the Belron European Distribution Center (“EDC”) located in Bilzen (Belgium). You will join a team of around 60 legal counsels worldwide with 15 of them located in Europe.

At an exciting time of transformational change for the Belron® Group, this senior legal role will include:

• Providing pragmatic, commercially sound, accurate and timely legal advice and solutions to internal customers and other stakeholders;
• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating all kinds of commercial contracts (e.g. supply-, service-, cooperation-, marketing agreements) and supporting the franchise business;
• Drafting and negotiating partnerships agreements with insurers & L&F customers and provide competition law advice on pricing / rebates / innovative commercial agreements ;
• Supporting the “Best in Class” compliance programs and providing compliance training also on EU anti-trust laws;
• Managing from the legal side our franchise business Autotaalglas, ensuring competition law compliance, reviewing amendments, extensions of franchise contracts and key account agreements;
• Coordinating with the Trademarks department to ensure the protection of trademarks and domains and advise the marketing team on the use of Belron® trademarks for marketing initiatives or branding, in line with the Belron® Trademark Guidelines;
• Acting as an interface with Belron Legal Department and outside counsel;
• Providing support and drafting the necessary documents in relation to specific projects (Quality & Safety, ADAS, business development, new developments in automotive sector).

The role can be based in Eindhoven (the Netherlands) or in Bilzen (Belgium), but will have an international focus as well. Remote working is certainly possible.

The ideal candidate would have the following skills, knowledge and personal characteristics to achieve satisfactory performance in this position.

Professional Requirements

• At least 5, preferably up to 10 years of experience in the areas of antitrust law, commercial law, contract law, unfair competition law and consumer law in the Benelux;
• Experience with multi-national companies and across a number of geographical territories would be highly valued;
• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills;
• Languages: fluent in Dutch and English (verbally and writing). Knowledge of French would be an additional asset;
