The three new partners are: Laura Fresco, Peter van Schijndel and Christopher Pierce.
Laura Fresco’s practice focusses on trademarks, designs, copyright, advertising and cross-border litigation, including corporate litigation. After graduating from the University of Amsterdam in 2005 with a master’s degree in IP law, Laura worked in the IP and Corporate Litigation departments of De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. In 2008, she moved to Curacao, where she was an associate with VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne in the areas of intellectual property and general litigation. She joined Hoyng Rokh Monegier in 2011.
Christopher Pierce specialises in worldwide prosecution of patent applications, and opposition of European patents. Christopher works in the fields of chemistry and mechanics, providing service to a variety of clients including those involved with batteries, personal care and grooming, domestic consumer products, packaging, and vehicle protection systems.
Peter van Schijndel’s practice is focused on patent litigation, with an emphasis on the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical devices sector. In addition to his patent work Peter has substantial experience in advertising, database, and pharmaceutical regulatory law. Most of Peter’s cases have a multi-jurisdictional dimension, and he is well versed in the litigation strategies and constraints this brings about.
Willem Hoyng: “ I would like to warmly welcome these three very talented and ambitious partners to our partnership. They are a great added value to the firm as well as to its clients. I wish them all the best.”
