Eubelius closely involved in project for the modernisation of belgian corporate law

On 6 October, the Minister of Justice presented a far-reaching project for the modernisation of Belgian corporate law to the competent commission of the Belgian Parliament. The project envisages providing an attractive and workable legal framework for companies and promoting Belgium as a place for Belgian and foreign investors to establish enterprises. The main headlines of this reform were prepared by the Belgian Centre for Corporate Law (www.bcv-cds.be).

Marieke Wyckaert, Alain François and Frank Hellemans, partners at Eubelius and co-founders and directors of the Belgian Centre for Corporate Law, were members of the core group involved in drafting the reform project. Partners Matthias Wauters, Jeroen Delvoie and Dominique De Marez, as well as Carl Clottens were also very actively involved in the preparatory working groups.
