De Wolf & Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of two new partners in its corporate and commercial department.
Fabian Tchékémian has been part of the Corporate Practice since joining the firm in 2001. He advises on contentious and non-contentious matters and has acquired a broad experience in legal proceedings, in particular in conflicts between shareholders and/or managers. Fabian regularly intervenes in international arbitration.
Being a member of the African Desk, Fabian often travels to Africa, especially to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) where he has a valuable background in negotiating contracts according to the DRC laws and negotiating indemnification with its government. He also practices OHADA law, which is applicable to business in 17 African countries.
Besides, Fabian teaches Corporate law in UCL-Mons.
Jean-François Michel has been part of the Commercial Practice since 2001.
He provides advice in Commercial law, European & National Competition Law, Unfair Trade Practice and Energy law.
Jean-François assists companies in the negotiating and drafting of both national and international commercial contracts, such as namely, agency, distribution and supply, lease and leasing, construction and services agreements.
He also handles Belgian commercial litigation and international arbitration and is in-house counsel in a major energy firm.
