Allen & Overy today announces 18 promotions to partner across 13 offices. The promotions, with effect from 1 May 2010, underline Allen & Overy's continued investment in its global business - for the third year running, the majority (89 per cent) of new partners are based outside London.
Managing partner Wim Dejonghe comments: "Over half of the firm's turnover continues to be generated outside the UK and two-thirds of our work is cross-border, involving offices in two or more countries, so these promotions are a reflection of our continued commitment to strengthening our international network and investing in the future of the business. This is a significant milestone in any lawyer's career. I would like to congratulate all the new partners on their promotion."
The new partners come from the Corporate, Banking, ICM, Litigation, Tax and Employment & Benefits practices across Allen & Overy's global network.
