In support of its continued growth, Elicio is looking to recruit a Legal Counsel to strengthen its Legal team in Ostend.

Responsibilities

The Legal Counsel shall, under the supervision of the relevant Sr. Legal Counsel and together with other team members, provide legal support on a variety of matters to the finance, corporate, business development, and construction teams in all countries in which Elicio is active, with a focus on Belgium and France.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Providing legal support in relation to all various legal aspects of the development, construction, and operation of onshore and offshore wind energy projects.
Drafting and negotiating different types of commercial contracts (such as supplier contracts, cooperation agreements, MoUs, NDAs, etc.).
Providing legal support for M&A transactions, in corporate compliance matters, and corporate housekeeping processes.
Drafting and negotiating contracts for land securing.
Assisting with permit applications and giving legal support on consenting, energy law, and environmental matters.
Providing legal support in tender processes.
Following up on new legislation and regulatory matters.
Cooperating with the different divisions of the Elicio Group.
Cooperating with external advisors.
Occasional travel abroad.

Required Education, Courses, and/or Experience

The Legal Counsel must have as a minimum:

A recent Master of Law degree.
A minimum of 1 year or a couple of years of relevant work experience, preferably in a law firm or in an industrial environment, in one or more of the following domains: energy law, corporate law, administrative law, and/or commercial law.

Mother tongue: Dutch or French
Fluent in: English
Fluent in: French
Knowledge of Spanish: A plus
