KBC Group was created in 2005 as a result of the merger of KBC Bank and Insurance Holding Company and its parent company, Almanij. KBC Bank & Insurance Holding Company itself was established in 1998 following the merger of three Belgian financial institutions. The Group's corporate history is a testament to the successful expansion into growth countries of Central and Eastern Europe which have joined the European Union in 2004, viz. Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. KBC employs some 50 000 people and caters for twelve million customers.
As KBC Group Data Protection Coordinator, you will play a vital role within an organisation with an explicit digital strategy.
Your core task will be managing the risks associated with privacy and data protection at
Group level. This will be a coordinating and connecting role in which you bridge the gap
between the various colleagues within KBC Group who are responsible for data protection.
You will work together with local Data Protection Officers and Compliance Teams in the various KBC entities. You will visit colleagues in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bulgaria at least twice a year.
You will get offered a permanent contract and a competitive salary, with additional non-statutory benefits. Sounds familiar? Of course, you read this in every job ad. KBC makes the difference for you with an extensive flex package. Too extensive to explain here. We will be happy to discuss the various benefits – large and small – with you during your interview
