What your future may hold

You will be responsible to deliver sound advice to both business units and central services at group level mainly on corporate and commercial law matters.

You participate in strategic projects such as investment and real estate projects, acquisitions and restructurings and will be responsible for designing and implementing compliance programs and hands-on training, and you proactively follow-up on new legislation.

You assist in complex intra-group projects and organise the corporate administration of the various group companies, such as minutes of the board of directors, general meetings, restructurings, incorporation and liquidations of companies...

You advise on, draft and negotiate contracts in a wide range of matters, including purchase and sales contracts, IT, agency, contracting, related party contracts, leases, investments...

You provide diverse legal advice and assistance to services departments and operational business units in all kinds of business-related matters and work proactively to ensure the efficient provision of legal services, with the assistance of outside advisors where needed, and the management of legal risks.

You will coordinate and manage outside advisors and consultants. You will interact on a regular basis with executive management but also coordinate projects with the other functional players within VPK’s organisation: Finance, ICT, HR, Tax and Operations.

You will be an integral part of VPK’s Group legal team, consisting of four dedicated in-house lawyers and a paralegal.

Your skillset

• You have a Master’s degree in Law (EU degree);
• You have showcased substantial expertise as a Legal professional in a law firm and/or within a company with international exposure;
• You are fluent in both Dutch and English and you are proficient in French (spoken and written);
• You exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by effective negotiation abilities to both commercial and non-legal issues;
• You have a strong team spirit with a “getting the deal done attitude” and a business mindset;
• You are flexible, proactive and stress resilient;
• You are risk-aware and have the ability to take initiative, making independent and pragmatic risk management judgements.
