Description of the vacancy

In order to reinforce the Corporate Finance team at the Unilin Group Headquarters in Waregem, we are looking for a Group Tax Counsel.

As a Group Tax Counsel, you will be part of the Tax department of Unilin Group and will be responsible for corporate tax matters, transfer pricing & R&D incentives. We are a dynamic team which strives to provide high quality tax support to the different business divisions of Unilin Group. To support the continuous growth of Unilin Group, the tax department is seeking reinforcements and we are looking for a pragmatic, dynamic and enthusiastic tax professional to help support the businesses.


Essential Job Responsibilities:  

  • Monitor implementation and documentation of transfer pricing policies across the group;
  • Preparation of transfer pricing documentation (local file, master file, etc.);
  • Review transfer pricing calculations on a quarterly basis; 
  • Monitor and review corporate income tax compliance across the group;
  • Assist local finance departments during tax audits (data collection and advisor coordination);   
  • Assist in the quarterly US GAAP tax provision process;
  • Provide tax advice to the business (questions on a daily basis as well as projects);
  • Provide tax support to acquisitions and business reorganizations;  
  • Monitor (inter)national legislative changes and tax developments;

Follow up on tax legislation and share knowledge of direct tax awareness with business and other stakeholders.

Profile

  • Preferably Master in Law or Economics with specialization in Tax;  
  • At least 3 years of experience in Corporate Tax, preferably with an accounting/consulting firm or multinational;  
  • Good analytical skills and a passion for problem solving, able to manage a complex portfolio of strategic and operational issues, while keeping an eye on detail;  
  • Good interpersonal skills to maintain excellent working relations with individuals from various backgrounds;
  • Pro-active & positive attitude, able to work under stress, hands-on, open and flexible;  
  • Good communication skills and team spirit;  
  • Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment is an asset as well as good IT skills;  
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, other European languages are a plus.
