Job description

You will work within the Claims Management services of Crawford Belgium. As a team leader, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of all major and small bodily injuries claims for customers (insurers, brokers, multinationals, leasing companies,…) and this in various insurance domains.

As an expert manager, you also handle large, complex and heavy claims cases in bodily injuries for yourself in this position. In addition, as a coach you will also manage a team of 3 to 4 employees.

More generally, your role will include the following:

  • You handle complex claims cases in serious bodily injuries for various clients (leasing companies, insurers, multinationals,…).
  • You take the initiative to keep your knowledge in your field of expertise up-to-date and you make your knowledge available to your team.
  • You motivate, evaluate and develop the employees of your team.
  • You are responsible for the planning and organization of the team and you preside the team meetings.
  • You ensure clear processes and procedures and you detect, signal and realize opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and customer experience.
  • You follow up on relevant management information (e.g. finished and lying work stocks, KPIs and SLA’s with customers,…..) and you take timely initiative when necessary.
  • From your position, you help to ensure good relations with customers. You monitor quality and agreements made. You formulate proposals to improve the cooperation processes.

In this position you report to the general manager of Belgium.

Profile

  • You have a master's degree in law or you are equivalent through experience.
  • You can refer back to previous experience in bodily injuries. You have knowledge of Common Law and you are familiar with the capitalization method for calculating damages.
  • You have a very good knowledge of Dutch and a good knowledge of French and English.
  • Thanks to your good communication and diplomatic skills, you are able to enter into a dialogue with various parties involved (Crawford customers, lawyers, consultant physicians and medical experts, counterparties, insured persons, insurance companies,…).
  • You have analytical skills and you are able to make decisions in complex cases.
  • You are team-oriented and service-oriented.
  • You also have good coaching skills.
