Gómez-Acebo & Pombo celebrates its 25th anniversary in Brussels

Tomorrow Gómez-Acebo & Pombo will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the inauguration of its Brussels office, with an event which will be attended by European Commissioner Vice-President and Commissioner for Competition Joaquín Almunia as honor guest.
The event will be held at the panoramic hall of the Brussels Square Meeting Centre and will be presided over by the Chairman of the Firm, Fernando Pombo, and its Managing Partner, Manuel Martín. They will be joined by a broad representation of partners and associate lawyers from all of Gómez-Acebo & Pombo’s offices, as well as clients and public figures, adding up to more than 200 guests.
The Firm celebrates its first 25 years of presence and business in the city which is home to the main decision-making bodies of the European Union. In 1985, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo became the first lawfirm in the Iberian Peninsula to open a branch office in the EU capital.
The Brussels office, led by partner José María Beneyto Pérez-Cerdá, relies on a team of lawyers with a wide and recognised experience in all the key economic sectors and in all areas of European Union law, in particular, competition and international business law.
