Software group Anchr welcomes Antwerp-based legaltech player Legile into its group. With the arrival of Legile, Anchr strengthens its position in a market that is evolving rapidly under the influence of artificial intelligence and new European regulations such as the AI Act, GDPR and NIS2.
With OneView, Legile has developed an AI-native platform that helps legal teams analyse contracts faster, monitor compliance risks and make legal knowledge accessible within organisations. Its approach combines tech-enabled efficiency with human-in-the-loop expertise. Today, the company already supports more than fifty customers, including growth companies and organisations in highly regulated sectors.
Joining Anchr brings Legile together with Contractify, the contract management platform that helps organisations centrally manage contracts, sign them digitally and automatically track contractual obligations.
Together, Legile and Contractify are taking an important step towards an integrated offering for the entire legal value chain: from drafting, contract analysis and legal validation to contract management, compliance and reporting.
AI is changing legal operations
European regulation is expanding rapidly. Rules around the use of AI, cybersecurity and digital resilience are piling up. Companies are under pressure: more rules, more contracts, more risks, but not more people. This is exactly where Legile comes in.
Where companies previously relied mainly on external advisors and manual checks, the focus is increasingly shifting towards smart technology that accelerates legal processes without compromising on quality. Legile combines artificial intelligence with human expertise: AI accelerates, while experienced legal experts safeguard quality and nuance.
"Companies today are confronted with an unprecedented amount of regulation and contractual complexity. AI can be a powerful accelerator, but legal certainty remains crucial. That is why we combine technology with experienced legal experts who safeguard quality and nuance. OneView therefore does not simply automate. It manages the validation layer, effectively accelerating legal decision-making."— Vincent Schoeters, co-founder of Legile
Strategic reinforcement for Anchr
For Anchr, the arrival of Legile further strengthens its position within Legal & GRC.
"Contractify and Legile approach the market from different angles, but solve the same challenge: helping organisations make legal risks, contracts and compliance more manageable. By bringing both companies together, we create a unique offering in which AI-native technology and legal expertise reinforce each other. This marks an important step in our ambition to support customers across the full legal value chain."— David Leurs, Head of Finance & Investments at Anchr
Legile was founded in 2020 by Vincent Schoeters and Christophe Vervoort. The company is supported by VLAIO and was nominated for the Deloitte Technology Fast 50. The acquisition aligns with Anchr's strategy to bring together specialised software companies with strong entrepreneurs around clear areas of expertise, while maintaining their autonomy. At the same time, Anchr stimulates collaboration and knowledge sharing throughout the group, enabling companies to strengthen each other without losing their own identity.
Strada as a partner in growth
Strada Partners, Anchr's financial partner, supports this growth story. With Strada's support, Anchr continues to build on its ambition to bring together specialised software companies within clearly defined expertise domains.
