Brussels, January 6, 2026 – Global law firm Dentons continues its strategic expansion in the Belgian market with the recruitment of Cedric Degreef as a Partner and Head of the Energy group in Brussels. Dentons’ global Energy group brings together the talent of more than 1000 lawyers worldwide, including 150+ in Europe.
Cedric Degreef brings more than a decade’s experience in advising investors, banks, project developers and operators on the planning, construction, financing and transactional aspects of energy, utilities and infrastructure projects. He focuses on energy and climate law, environmental law, general administrative law, construction law, as well as risk management and compliance. He is also an experienced litigator, representing clients primarily before administrative courts such as the Council of State, Council for Permit Disputes, and Belgian Constitutional Court. He joins Dentons from Osborne Clarke, where he was a Counsel and Head of the Energy and Projects team in Brussels.
He is ranked as “Up and Coming” for Energy by Chambers Europe. He is also a prolific author and sought-after speaker at conferences. In addition to his legal practice, he is also a guest professor at the University of Antwerp in energy and climate law.
