Associate Corporate M&A

To support our continued growth and ambitions, we are looking for an Associate to strengthen our Corporate M&a team.

With more than 50 expert lawyers across multiple practices, Astrea is a leading name in Antwerp and far beyond. We offer pragmatic, businessoriented legal solutions—committed, thoughtful and tailored to each client’s needs.

As an Associate, you will take on challenging and varied work for large and mid-sized Belgian and international companies. You will join a team of around 15 Corporate M&A specialists and work directly with clients.

Astrea’s Corporate M&A team advises on:

• Mergers and acquisitions
• Venture capital and private equity transactions
• Complex corporate law questions
• Corporate restructurings
• Corporate litigation

Your responsibilities include:

• Providing highquality advice and legal support across the full range of corporate law matters.
• Preparing, reviewing, and refining legal documents, including contracts relating to M&A, PE and other corporate transactions.
• Actively participating in negotiations, helping to facilitate deals and resolve legal issues as they arise.
• Being in close contact with clients, understanding their needs, and developing effective legal strategies.
• Representing Astrea at events, contributing to publications, and supporting external client seminars.
• Keeping your expertise up to date through active participation in practice groups, training and seminars.

You have:

• A Belgian Master of Laws, ideally with a focus on corporate law.
• At least 4 years of solid experience in Corporate M&A transactions.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, with a basic command of French.
• A client-oriented mindset, strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver practical solutions.
• A team player attitude combined with the ability to work independently, strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.
