Linklaters has announced the election of 41 new partners drawn from 14 jurisdictions and 11 practice areas and 45 new counsel across 14 jurisdictions and 13 practice areas. The elections take effect from 1 May 2022.
We are delighted that 41% of all our newly-elected partners are women in line with our gender target of electing at least 40% female partners each year.
Linklaters is particularly thrilled to welcome Caroline Borgers (Tax) and Neil Hoolihan (Antitrust & Foreign Investment Group) in Brussels to the global partnership.
Caroline advises clients on many areas of Belgian and international tax law. Her specialisms include advising on R&D tax incentives, the structuring of incentive compensation plans, (cross-border) M&A deals, fund structuring, financial transactions and real estate transactions. She also assists clients in the framework of tax audits and in State aid taxation investigations and proceedings before the EU Courts.
Neil advises on the full range of competition matters with an emphasis on global merger control and foreign investment rules. He has a particular focus advising financial sponsor clients in relation to investments/divestments across the healthcare, manufacturing, energy and other infrastructure sectors. Neil regularly advises clients in relation to merger control filings before the European Commission and the UK’s Competition & Markets Authority.
