Versterking van de praktijk Commercial Contracts, IP/IT en Data Protection & Privacy bij Loyens & Loeff met de benoeming van Stéphanie De Smedt tot Counsel.
Met ingang van 1 januari 2021 werd Stéphanie De Smedt benoemd tot counsel bij Loyens & Loeff België.
Stéphanie is een waardevol lid van de praktijkgroep Litigation & Risk Management van Loyens & Loeff te Brussel. Zij is teamleider van de IP/IT en Data Protection & Privacy praktijk in België en staat mede aan het hoofd van het Belgische Healthcare & Life Sciences team. De afgelopen jaren heeft zij een indrukwekkende expertise opgebouwd in handelsrecht, IP/IT-recht en op het gebied van privacy en bescherming van persoonsgegevens.
Bovenop haar achtergrond in algemeen handels- en intellectueel eigendomsrecht, is Stéphanie sterk gefocust op privacy en gegevensbescherming en op sectorspecifieke regelgeving. Zij treedt op als derde-beslisser voor domeinnaamgeschillen bij CEPINA, het Belgisch centrum voor arbitrage en mediatie, en is praktijkassistente bij het Centre for IP & IT Law aan de Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
Tot slot wordt Stéphanie erkend door Legal 500 als “Rising Star” in Data Protection & Privacy. Ze is tevens auteur van talrijke publicaties inzake IP en Data Protection.
