Squire Patton Boggs adds corporate heavyweight in Brussels

Squire Patton Boggs has appointed Bart Vanderstraete as a partner in the Global Corporate Practice in Brussels. Mr. Vanderstraete joins from the Brussels office of Clifford Chance where he has been in practice for more than 16 years.

Mr. Vanderstraete  advises on M&A, private equity and general commercial matters and has considerable exeprience advising on major Belgian and cross-border transactions. Mr. Vanderstraete has in-depth knowledge of the global chemicals and materials sector, advising international chemicals manufacturers on a full range of corporate and commercial issues. In addition, Mr. Vanderstraete has expertise in Belgian data protection law and has advised on a number of important matters in this area, including data breaches.
