Our Regulatory department

Our regulatory practice provides legal advisory and litigation to all of Belgium’s federal and regional entities. Our attorneys are particularly recognised for their skills in environmental, energy, zoning and planning and public procurement regulations.

We advise on and give procedural assistance to clients concerning various subject areas such as waste and soil, permits and water regulations, zoning and planning, etc. Zoning and planning includes legal issues relating to environmental impact analyses, nature conservation, safety reporting, identifying competent authorities, and others. Our team has experience of planning infrastructure, massive structures and urban regeneration.

Apart from our team’s autonomous expertise, our regulatory practitioners seamlessly join forces with the firm’s other practices especially on M&A and real estate transactions.

We are currently looking for a Dutch-speaking lawyer (2 - 3 years of experience) with a specific interest in environmental law, zoning and planning.

What we expect

The ideal candidate would have

• an excellent knowledge of Dutch, with a good command of French and English;
   
• obtained a first class Belgian law degree;
   
• obtained good academic results;
   
• a few years of experience (maximum 3 years) at the Bar;
   
• a broad interest in environmental law, zoning and planning;
   
• strong analytical and drafting skills;
   
• a team player attitude with an autonomous working method;
   
• an eagerness to learn;
   
• a client-oriented approach with a pragmatic and commercial mind-set;
   
• a hands-on and proactive mentality, someone who dares to take initiative.
