Our practice encompasses transactional finance files (ranging from classical banking/syndicate lending and leveraged finance and capital markets operations to more sophisticated structured finance or  asset/project finance for financial institutions, transactions), financial restructurings, as well as high-end advisory assignments for the financial sector (including fintech and blockchain related projects). Our clients are Belgian and international banks and financial institutions, institutional investors, Belgian and international corporates, the Belgian governments and rating agencies. We are actively looking at further expanding the team.

You will be part of the Banking & Finance team (currently 6 lawyers) within the Business Law department where you will assist in a broad range of financial transactions for Belgian and international credit institutions, corporate and institutional clients. You will also be involved in the financial services industry group of Deloitte, as legal specialist on multidisciplinary projects and initiatives of the wider firm. You are a genuine team player and will closely work together with the other members of the team.

• you obtained your law degree with outstanding results – additional qualifications or international experience (Manama/LLM/MBA) are great assets
   
• you have at least 6 years of relevant experience in a reputed law firm or a financial institution
   
• your verbal and written communication is professional, thoughtful and effective – you master English and Dutch or French fluently (our working language being English)
   
• you approach complex legal questions with an innovative mindset
   
• you embrace technology and are keen to explore how disruptive trends will shape the future of the legal profession
   
• you are naturally curious about the socio-economic developments that keep your clients up at night
