We work in dif­fer­ent teams on a vari­ety of files, so that we can always learn from dif­fer­ent peo­ple. We also stim­u­late con­stant col­lab­o­ra­tion between the teams.

Cresco offers a struc­tured but flex­i­ble learn­ing envi­ron­ment, focus­ing on the devel­op­ment of excel­lent legal skills and prob­lem-solv­ing acu­men, while encour­ag­ing our lawyers to build impor­tant long term inter­nal and exter­nal busi­ness relationships.

We are cur­rent­ly look­ing to com­ple­ment the team with an asso­ciate in our tech­nol­o­gy team with 3 – 5 years of rel­e­vant expe­ri­ence in intel­lec­tu­al prop­er­ty, infor­ma­tion tech­nol­o­gy and com­mer­cial law, and who is eager to work for var­i­ous entre­pre­neurs with­in the tech­nol­o­gy field. 

You will primarily be engaged in: 

• structuring, drafting and negotiating a variety of intellectual property/ICT and commercial transactions, including the drafting of licensing, (co)-development, e-commerce, service, distribution and partnership agreements in various fields; 

• structuring drafting and negotiating of various IP monetization deals; 

• structuring, drafting and negotiating of ecosystems focusing on co-creation and co-development of new technologies; and 

• structing, drafting and negotiation of various partnership models. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual with a strong interest in emerging and technology companies who wants to assist with the further expansion of Cresco’s Technology practice group.

Candidates shall hold a master’s degree in law at a Belgian university and prove strong academic credentials. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are a must. 

Candidates will also have experience in intellectual property and information technology transactions and a strong interest in a career focused on intellectual property/ICT and commercial transactions. Subject matter expertise in open source, patents, privacy or copyright laws is also a plus.

Finally, we expect candidates to be able to independently manage projects and client relationships in a fast-paced environment.
